GECOL's original GT13E1 gas turbine control system aging, card failure, seriously restricting the unit reliability and availability. By deploying IS220PPROS1B, the number of unit shutdowns has dropped significantly, the average system availability has returned to > 98%, and the single maintenance time has been shortened by about 30%.

The Edwardsport integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) unit was put into operation in 2013 with a total installed capacity of approximately 798 MW. It is a global clean and efficient coal-fired power demonstration project. Three IS220PPROS1B modules are used to build TMR backup protection, and in conjunction with the SPRO/TREA terminal board, hardware-level monitoring and rapid tripping of overspeed and bus synchronization are performed.
