Steam-Turbine Journal Bearing Monitoring
Two TQ401 probes on vertical/horizontal axes feed separate IQS450 B23 modules.
4–20 mA loops tie directly into turbine control PLCs, triggering alarms if eccentricity exceeds limits during startup or load changes.
Gas-Compression Train Air-Gap Control
A TQ401 at the compressor impeller face monitors clearance; IQS450 loop output drives emergency load-shedding logic when gap < 0.5 mm.
Maintains safe operation without requiring complex voltage-bus wiring.
Hydroelectric Generator Rotor Positioning
Probes on runner bearings feed IQS450; loop outputs integrate with SCADA for continuous shaft-center tracking and DCS interlocks.
