Measurement principle

Non-contact measurement based on the eddy current principle, used to detect relative displacement, vibration or gap of metal targets (such as shafts).

Measuring range

Linear range: 0.75–12.75 mm (typical value).

Output signal:

Voltage mode (B31): -1.6 V (minimum gap) to -17.6 V (maximum gap), sensitivity 1.33 mV/µm (34 mV/mil).

Current mode (B32): -15.5 mA (minimum gap) to -20.5 mA (maximum gap), sensitivity 0.417 µA/µm (10.6 µA/mil).

Frequency response

DC to 20 kHz (-3 dB), suitable for dynamic vibration monitoring.
