Key Features
VOGI
Integrated Electronics (“CE 110”):
Built-in charge amplifier that converts raw piezoelectric charge into a low-impedance voltage (100 mV/g), simplifying wiring to most vibration monitors or data collectors.
Provides both voltage and optional current modulating outputs (0.5 … 8 mA) for versatility in hazardous-area or long-cable-run applications.
Wide Frequency Bandwidth (10 Hz – 2000 Hz):
Captures both low-frequency structural vibration and high-frequency bearing/gear mesh events.
Suitable for condition monitoring on rotary equipment (motors, pumps, compressors) as well as structural-health-monitoring on industrial machinery.
Rugged, Stainless-Steel Construction:
316 L stainless-steel housing and hermetically sealed piezoelectric crystal ensure resistance to oil, dust, and mechanical shock.
Suitable for harsh environments (–55 °C to +125 °C, 95 % RH, IP 67).
Standardized Mounting & Connector:
¼″-28 UNF (with M8 × 1.25 adapter) allows direct mounting on machined bosses or weld studs.
Two-pin MS connector (“CT”) enables rapid disconnect/reconnect for maintenance without de-panning sensor leads.
ATEX/IECEx (EX) & Intrinsically Safe Variants (Optional “EX” Suffix):
For truly hazardous areas (Zone 0/1 classifications), an intrinsically safe version with internal Zener-barrier compatibility is available (marked VMD 110 100 CT EX VO).
When used with an approved Zener barrier (e.g., MTL 728 series), the sensor meets ATEX Group II 1G requirements.
Long Cable Capability:
Active electronics enable sensor cable lengths up to 1000 m without significant signal degradation, provided the monitoring system supplies the required constant-current excitation and includes appropriate filtering.
Integral cable options (AT variants) are available with lengths of 2, 5, or 10 m in stainless-steel overbraid for permanent installations.
Reverse-Polarity & Short-Circuit Protection:
Internal circuitry prevents damage if supply leads are accidentally reversed or shorted during commissioning

Applications
VOGI
Stud Mounting: Always use the supplied ¼″-28 UNF to M8 × 1.25 adapter for proper seating on M8 tapped bosses. Tighten sensor to 20 Nm (per Vibro-Meter recommendation) to ensure good mechanical coupling.
Cable Routing: For CT versions, use properly crimped/captive two-pin MS connectors with IP 67–rated mating connectors. Route cables away from high-voltage or RF sources to minimize electromagnetic interference.
